Torah Consciousness is the mind of Mashiyach, it enables a soul to see the Torah through the "eyes" of Mashiyach, to enter in to Torah Consciousness, we must live Torah, and have Torah written upon our hearts. Torah is defined by Scripture as "INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS". Torah is the Living Word of YHWH and the Covenant which has been made for all who would know the Creator of the Universe. Each week as we live in and experience the parasha in Torah, we are being transformed into a Kedoshim (a Set-Apart Holy People) as the Family of YHWH according to our forefathers, Avraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov. We learn through those men whom YHWH chose to be the fathers of the One True Faith. We learn how the Word of YHWH (Mashiyach) spoke with Avraham and made Covenant with him and how Avraham entered into a Love Relationship with YHWH, by the Word of YHWH. We learn about Righteous, Justice, Mercy, and Grace, and we learn about the Righteousness of YHWH that He causes to dwell in His people. We learn about the Mind of Mashiyach. Yeshua is the Living Word of YHWH made manifest in the flesh. Yeshua Mashiyach has always dwelt among His people, because the Spirit of Mashiyach has ALWAYS been with us. Mashiyach came to this earth in the physical body of Yeshua, with all the emotion and vitality of a human being, Y'shua demonstrated Torah by living a sinless life. Torah Consciousness is all about recognizing the Spirit of Yeshua and identifying and knowing YHWH according to Torah and the Ruach haKodesh. Torah Consciousness is about having the Torah written upon our hearts by the Spirit of Mashiyach, this is exactly what Jeremiah referred to as the "New Covenant" in Jeremiah 31:31-34. Torah Consciousness is about becoming a peculiar treasure unto YHWH, whether Jew or non-Jewish Believer in Yeshua, the Torah is Life.
Religions have cast some very ugly teachings against Torah. Rabbinical Judaism and Christianity are doing wickedness against Torah every moment of every day by upholding false values and teachings that directly oppose Torah. Rabbinical Judaism teaches that Torah is not for the Goyim (the Nations) only for the Jews, the Rabbis teach that Jews are the only true stewards of the Word of YHWH. Rabbinical Judaism teaches Noachide laws for Gentiles, this is a Rabbinical invention bred from arrogance and the selfish ambitions of the carnal flesh. Rabbinical Jews say that the Gentiles would mess up the Torah so they don't teach Torah to the Goyim. But Torah teaches us that the Ger Toshav (Sojourner) is to be part of THE ONE TORAH along with all of Israel, and that a mixed multitude was on hand when YHWH gave the Torah to Moshe.
But Rabbinical Judaism wants to "own" Torah and put God in a box, they are making a golden calf unto themselves from which to enslave their followers and prevent many souls from entering into the Malchut Elohim. The fact of the matter is that most Jews will not have anything to do with Torah or Religion because of how the Rabbis manipulate people with their religious shtick.
Christian leaders teach that either Torah is only for Jews only, or that Torah has been "nailed to the cross", this is a convenient way for Christians to continue living carnal lives while claiming to be "born again". Christian leaders are very adamant about teaching a Greek origin of the Ketuvim Netzarim (writings of the Netzarim) which they call "the New Testament", it is through Hellenized religion that Christianity established the false identity which teaches that to be "Born Again" means to live according to the doctrines and traditions of a denominational religions. The Scriptures teach that being "Born Again" means to be born from the beginning, to begin on the path of perfection in Mashiyach, to become a New Creation and have Torah written up the heart.
At Sinai there was in attendance a mixed multitude of people who fled Egypt along with the Tribes of Israel, the Rabbis suggest that Torah was given in 70 languages so that all could understand the Torah. Torah states that the mixed multitude sojourned along with Israel and these souls also entered into Life, not as second class citizens but as equals who are considered the Special Treasure of YHWH. Calev wasn't born a Jew, neither was Ruth, but both were given extremely important roles in the Kingdom of Elohim, which clearly indicates that YHWH and His Mashiyach intend for the common good of Torah to be universal, and not be held hostage by a religious status quo religious groups. There are many examples in Torah that indicate Torah is to be made plain to everyone. Torah is not complicated so that only a group of "lawyers" can understand it and interpret it.
The Torah teaches that YHWH is Elohim, and there is no other god. The Word of YHWH is True and Just altogether, and that all who turn to YHWH and do what pleases Him shall be saved. The Torah teaches about "conversion" for Jew and non Jew alike, the whole nation of Israel after leaving Egypt went through a "conversion", and they all went through a mikveh when they crossed the Red Sea. Calev was not born into the Tribe of Yehudah (Judah), he converted and became part of Yehudah, Ruth also converted which means she put away paganism and lived according to Torah. Converted is a term of religion, but Torah says we are to make Teshuva (turn from sin) and live according to Torah (instruction in righteousness), but conversion for most people is to make a new choice of religion.
Torah Consciousness reveals YHWH's authority, each soul is to put away pagan religious ideas and accept the purity of the Word of YHWH as the only and eternal authority for Justice and Truth. Torah Consciousness is the right way to live because it is Truth. But many souls can only see Torah through the doctrines and traditions of men which teach perversion of Torah. It is Torah which provides the most complete and equal Justice system for mankind, yet many religious people see Torah as either a harsh set of legalistic requirements, or as though they alone have exclusive rights to Torah, this is what religion teaches about Torah because all religions are designed to protect themselves from certain extinction.
Torah Consciousness is Messiah in us, the Hope of Glory, Torah Consciousness is the Mind of Messiah because it was the Word of YHWH (Mashiyach) who spoke Torah to Moshe. There is a religious veil over many peoples eyes when they approach Torah because of what man's religions have done to make void the Torah in favor of religion. One example of Torah Consciousness is regarding RESTING IN YHWH, there remains a Shabbat (REST) for the people of Elohim. The Seventh Day Shabbat is a time when we cease from our own labors and enter into the labors of the Malchut Elohim which is prayer, study, meditation on the Word of YHWH, singing, rejoicing, fellowshipping, learning and sharing etc about YHWH and His Mashiyach. But the Shabbat is being taught as a burdensome thing by false religion, some religious people even state that "we don't have to keep Shabbat"! They don't "have" to keep Shabbat? How shocking and telling of their selfish motive to do what is right in their own eyes! They want to make their own celebrations, and make void the Moedim (appointed times) of YHWH. YHWH's Word says that we should REST IN HIM, but the tradition of man says you don't have to.
Torah Consciousness is knowing that Torah is the unchanging WORD of YHWH, that is given in the Spirit of Mashiyach.
As we read and study Torah we are able to glean spiritual and natural truths about Life and the Giver of Life. We can see how much YHWH loves His Creation and how He has a plan and purpose for each soul, what we don't see is how anyone is marginalized or lessened by Torah. Each soul is highly prized and extremely valuable because each soul is made in the "Image of Elohim", YHWH imparts a portion of Himself into each person, therefore Torah Consciousness is our connection in Him. As we invite the Ruach haKodesh into our hearts, minds, souls and spirits we grow in Torah Consciousness and we are able to recognize good and evil for what it is. Before Y'shua came to this earth, Torah provided the only avenue to Messiah Consciousness, Torah revealed the Mind of Mashiyach. When Y'shua came he demonstrated and taught how Torah is to be written by the Ruach haKodesh upon the heart. Y'shua is the Living Torah, so if we know and live Torah, we understand that the Spirit of Mashiyach lived in the hearts of our forefathers Avraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov. It is Mashiyach who lived in King David's heart, the Ruach haKodesh inspired David to write the beautiful psalms of love and life according to the revelation he was given.
Torah Consciousness is all about us stopping our own agendas, and learning to live according to righteous living and be peculiar people from the world, who are full of the Joy of YHWH. Our heritage is together as one people in the Kingdom, Jew and Ger Tsedec who fear the Living Elohim and call upon His Name. As Avraham went to himself (Lech Lecha) so must each one of us in Yeshua go to ourselves, and let Mashiyach transform us into new Creations, this is how Torah Consciousness works. Abram became Avraham, Sarai became Sarah, Ya'akov became Israel and so it is that each of us also becomes a New Creation by the revelation of Mashiyach as the hand of YHWH. As we observe Torah we also see that the teaching of Yeshua is universal and righteous, there is no fault in Mashiyach who is Pure. We must choose Mashiyach, salvation is not a passive religious thing, we must choose to walk as Yeshua walked and guard ourselves from false religion and teaching. Torah Consciousness is the work of the Ruach haKodesh which sharpens our senses towards the Kingdom of Elohim, and makes us Kings and Priests unto YHWH and His Mashiyach.
The only way we can experience Torah Consciousness is to become Torah Observant, we cannot understand unless we experience and do Torah. We cannot make a theory about Torah or a doctrine about it, and also enter into Torah, we must live Torah and the Word of YHWH must come out of our mouths, it must be on our hearts, we must teach Torah in order to know and understand the Greatness of the Word of YHWH. As we seek to know Truth and Justice we quickly learn that Torah is the highest form of Justice because Torah is given to us by thee Lawgiver, who is Mashiyach. Torah and Yeshua are One, this is the Mystery that is revealed in the Ruach haKodesh. Our challenge today is not that we don't have access to Torah, but that religion has put "filters" on the Word of YHWH and translated Truth according to false religion, religion fractionalizes the Word of YHWH and thereby makes Torah Consciousness a detestable thing, because it is no longer a whole, but a broken and divided book.
Torah Consciousness is a continuum from B'resheet/Genesis to the Olam Haba (world to come), Mashiyach is the door to Torah Consciousness, whereas religion is a detour. Torah is not words written upon a scroll, it is Life in Mashiyach, it is YHWH breathed, it is the Mind of Mashiyach and the Spirit of Mashiyach revealed, which is why the forces of evil are so intent on putting a religious mask over both Torah and Mashiyach. As Shaliach Shaul stated in Romans 7:14, "the Torah is spiritual", it is the presence of Mashiyach that is revealed by the Ruach haKodesh. Religion translates Torah as "the law", this is deception because Torah is YHWH's inward instruction in righteous living, not an outward code of do's and don'ts as in "statutory law". The precedent of Torah is Mashiyach and has always been Mashiyach because Mashiyach existed before the foundations of the universe. If there is something wrong or incomplete with Torah, then there is something wrong and incomplete with Mashiyach. It is common knowledge in both Christianity and Judaism that the Word of YHWH gave Torah to Moshe, and Mashiyach is the Word of YHWH. Everything from YHWH, comes to us in Mashiyach, because YHWH is outside of time and space, but Mashiyach is the connection between YHWH and man. Y'shua stated:
To believe in Moshe, means to put trust in YHWH, that His Word is Set Apart, Just and Good. To believe in Moshe means to observe Torah and be as obedient Israelites, whether you consider yourself to be spiritual or natural Israel. Believe (amawn) in Hebrew is the basis of the word Faith (emunah), therefore belief is not a cerebral or intellectual knowing, but to "be", to intellectualize Moshe or Torah is a different animal altogether than to believe. Believe is to know and experience something personally, not theoretically. If you are disobedient to Moshe then you don't believe Moshe, and you are also denying Mashiyach and being disobedient to YHWH. False religion intellectualizes this verse to mean that Moshe prophesied of the person of Y'shua as Mashiyach, but this is not the point. The point is that those who are obedient to Moshe are being obedient to Mashiyach, because Moshe is a type of Mashiyach. Moshe brought the Word of YHWH, written by the finger of YHWH to his people. Mashiyach is the handiwork of YHWH, he is the Living Torah revealed, therefore those who make void the Torah, are in fact bringing Mashiyach to naught and are nullifying their own existence in the Malchut Elohim. To increase our level of Torah consciousness we must observe and do Torah, and this is pleasing to YHWH and His Mashiyach because this sanctifies (sets apart) our will and actions as YHWH's children. There is only one Torah, which is a continuum of YHWH's revelation to mankind. YHWH's instruction is magnified in Mashiyach, the level of Torah consciousness is increased in Mashiyach, thoughts, intents, motives are judged by the Ruach haKodesh and disciples of Y'shua bring every thought into subjection to Mashiyach, therefore Torah Consciousness in Mashiyach is dynamic and has unlimited potential to transform the sinner into the image of Elohim. This is why David said that the Torah of YHWH is perfect converting the soul, in Psalm 19:7, because David could see Mashiyach in Torah, and Torah in Mashiyach. Notice that the word shuv (converting) really means to return or turn back to, and this is what it means to be "born again", it means to return to the beginning, as if you had been brought back to the beginning with Adam and Eve, before sin entered. Therefore Torah Consciousness is this connection between us and YHWH, according to the Malki Tsedec priesthood. We must also bear in mind that YHWH Tsidkenu is the office or title that Mashiyach reveals and these things are his attributes that are gained according to Torah Consciousness. So what then is Torah Consciousness? It is haMishchah (the anointing) of the Ruach haKodesh, because it is the Ruach haKodesh that writes Torah upon the heart.
YHWH be with you, Shalom U'Vrachot,
Baruch Ben Daniel
ps when we use the term Mashiyach, before Y'shua came to earth, let's remember that we are referring to the Spirit of Mashiyach, which is the same as the Ruach haKodesh. Mashiyach is the Word of YHWH. Before Mashiyach came to earth he appeared to many as the Messenger of YHWH, he has a different office than the other Messengers. Did he look the same as he appeared to Avraham, or Joshua or as he did when he walked around the Galilee? Yes, there would be no reason for YHWH to reveal another persona of Mashiyach. Will he look the same when he returns? Yes, but Mashiyach ben Yoseph is a remarkably different office than Mashiyach ben David, however, "they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." Zechariah 12:10.
