"But ha'Mishchah which you have received of him abides in you,

and you need not that any man teach you : but as the same anointing teaches you of all things,

and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him."

1 John 2:27

Whether you are Christian, Jewish or Muslim we all seek a Kingdom that is not of this world.  Christians call on "the Lord", Jews on Adonai and Muslims upon Allah, but let's look deeper than our obvious religious differences.  The Name of YHWH (Yahweh) was replaced with the names of "the Lord", HaShem, and Allah, but of course God or Elohim (Hebrew) in singular form is Eloah.  In Aramaic Eloah is pronounced Alahah which is very much the same as Allah.  On the outset three of the major religions follow a God who is derived from One origin, albeit YHWH is interpreted in diverse ways.

Before we go any further let's "level the playing field".  Some un-informed Christians and Jews claim that Muslims follow the "Moon God" because they have a crescent moon on their mosques.  Some say that Jews follow a Caananite deity called El and others say that Christians follow a sun deity because they have sun wheels behind the head of Jesus and busts of Zeus etc.  So the old adage of if you point your finger, don't forget that you have three fingers pointing back at you...rings true here.

According to the Netzarim Faith (Apostle Paul was a ringleader of the Netzarim or Nazarenes) every soul enters into Covenant with the Father through Mashiyach, past, present and future.  We as Netzarim believe that it is through Y'shua that YHWH has revealed Himself in us, and we recognize His Kingship as our Deliverer and Redeemer.  We  recognize the Presence of the Ruach HaKodesh in our spirits, minds and hearts as that which is set apart and Righteous.  Our neshama (spirit) is quickened by the Spirit of Mashiyach, we experience Joy and Peace through revealed Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding of His Ways and Character.

Through our experience in Mashiyach we are compelled to join with others in the Kingdom of Elohim and become a Kedoshim (Set Apart people).  The external religious elements or traditions within Christianity, Judaism and Islam are certainly radically different in many ways but in reality each soul has an independent relationship and responsibility to Mashiyach.  Mashiyach is the connection between Heaven and Earth.  If we consider the prophet of Islam who is called Mohammed it is very clear that Mohammed interpreted Allah and revealed Allah to all who follow Islam, Mohammed made a connection for hundreds of millions of people to find their way to Allah.  But Mohammed is not Mashiyach he was only a prophet.

Christians attend one of 33,800 various denominations and each one has a statement of faith and identity that is somewhat unique from other denominations and each church has a Pastor or Priest or leader who teaches the Gospel to the congregation.  The church follows the teachings of their pastor, when there are difficult questions it is the pastor who is expected to provide answers.  But the leaders Priests, Pastors and Ministers of Christianity are not Mashiyach, but they are supposed to be servants (ministers) of Mashiyach.

Rabbinical Judaism relies on Rabbis to bring the teachings of HaShem to the Jewish people, the Rabbis act as a liaison between heaven and earth and of course they are neither singularly nor collectively Mashiyach.  Some years ago many Chabad Lubavitcher Jews were trusting that Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson was going to be Mashiyach, but of course this never came to pass, mainstream Jews believe in Mashiyach but don't understand how Mashiyach is their connection to YHWH.

Each of us, regardless of our religious choices, ultimately decides what religion we choose to follow and what we want to believe about Mashiyach.  Many people have changed religions from Muslim to Christian to Judaism and some households have spouses who follow different religions but they try to maintain unity within their marriages and families.

People sometimes choose to leave one religion and follow another for many different reasons, but many make these changes from very deep convictions to follow truth, and to become the very best they can, living disciplined and honorable lives that will be rewarded by the Master of the Universe.  In reality an inner voice leads us, and within this inner voice is the potential of hearing from the Spirit of YHWH which is Mashiyach.

Regardless of which religion we follow, our common needs for friendship, companionship, Peace, Joy, Spiritual and intellectual enlivening are all satisfied in Mashiyach within the Kingdom of Elohim.  We are motivated to pursue the Kingdom of Elohim as each addition to the Household of Faith makes a unique and set apart contribution for Peace and good will on earth.  Certainly as our experience in Mashiyach matures we also see a greater love within us grow towards all other souls, regardless of religion, culture etc.  We realize that YHWH made all souls for His pleasure and it is His desire that all men everywhere come to the knowledge of His truth and bring Justice and Equality to all souls.  It is Mashiyach who makes a connection between us that is greater than the sum of our own religious choices.

Our souls expand and are filled with Torah (spiritual instructions in righteousness), there is a clear demarcation between the old and new man in our thoughts and actions.  If we slip and do something contrary to the Way of Truth our spirits are grieved, we know when something is not pleasing to YHWH and the Ruach haKodesh (Set Apart Spirit) directs us towards humility and repentance.  We have an acute sense of right and wrong and recognize His daily Presence in our lives.  This experience is about having "Mashiyach in you, the hope of Glory", the Spirit of Mashiyach dwells in His people.  If this is your experience and testimony I also thank YHWH with you, if not, then your quest for Mashiyach is to receive ha'Mishchah "the Anointing" from the Ruach haKodesh to connect to Mashiyach.

The anointing we receive is often recognized through personal deliverance.  We are given power to stop living according to our flesh, we stop sinful habits that are impossible to shake, and we walk in newness of life having the victory over carnal weaknesses.  We become overcomers of sickness, addiction, and loneliness, very clear distinctions are established between inclinations of the flesh and being in "the Spirit" where we harmonize within, according to Joy and Peace.  We recognize a Redemption has entered into our souls, not only do we seek good for ourselves, but we become preoccupied with seeing that others also receive blessings and prosperity in the things of Mashiyach.

We recognize our calling is to be servants of one another, and serve our Master by loving each other, we know that what we have in Mashiyach is the best that life has to offer.  As we grow in love and intimacy with YHWH, our souls are satisfied in Him and our efforts in this life move towards serving and walking with Mashiyach in life's highest calling.  Y'shua demonstrated that he is a Servant King that we also being transformed into his likeness, he grants us the authority through his Kingship to be Priests and Kings and to extend the Kingdom of Elohim to others by proclaiming the goodness of YHWH.  Through "the Anointing" of the Ruach HaKodesh we make a steadfast connection with Mashiyach as our lifeblood, our interests turn from things, to serving Him and His people.

MASHIYACH is the preeminent Title of Y'shua.  Mashiyach is a word derived from the primitive Hebrew root word "MASHACH" meaning; anoint, paint or smear on.  "MISHCHAH" is the common Hebrew word that translates; anointing.  These words uniquely describe the work of the Holy Spirit in our souls.  Obviously we cannot look to the 33,800 Christian denominations or modern Judaism or Islam as religions to be our guide to Mashiyach.  In the strictest sense of the word Christian means to be Christ-like having the anointing of Mashiyach.  But obviously very few Christians are willing to live like Y'shua and his disciples, it would be a dangerous thing in the Greco-Roman modern world for any Christian to return to the original Way or Faith which was once delivered.  So the anointing of Mashiyach in reality is very different than how modern Christians interpret it today.  Originally the anointing of the Set Apart (Holy Spirit) was evidenced by having Torah written upon the heart, this was the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34.

Ha'Mishchah "the anointing" of the Ruach HaKodesh is translated and understood through multitudes of religious stereotypes and ideas, the doctrines and religious beliefs abound with teachings about this central theme of relationship.  It is easy to think of the Anointing of Mashiyach based on our obligation to Him in the form of "Spiritual Gifts" and in our walking in the calling of a Talmid (Disciple) to "go ye therefore and teach all nations".  Ha'Mishchah is often taught in conjunction with the Shemen ha'Mishchah (Anointing Oil) and the usual thinking is that the Shemen (Oil) representing the Ruach HaKodesh symbolizes the Ruach HaKodesh connecting with the Neshama (spirit of man).  As the ha'Mishchah is such a central all encompassing and vital theme to understand "The Faith", any theological model attempting to satisfy the intellect regarding ha'Mishchah will produce some form of tunnel vision that will focus one's mind on either a doctrinal formulae, attitude or religious value.  Another alternative is to simply define who you are, by your relationship with Mashiyach.  Messiah in you, because you know that your "flesh" wants to do something different than your "spirit", and the "spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."

Ha'Mishchah is evidence within yourself that you are accepted into the Kingdom of Elohim, the inner spiritual man is awakened and revealed.  As ha'Mishchah of the Ruach HaKodesh grows in us we respond to the call of Mashiyach by doing His Will and advancing the  Kingdom of Elohim, everything we do and say and how we live reflects our inner Spiritual Man.  Consider those in the Tanakh whom YHWH chose to reveal Himself, each one had ha'Mishchah of the Ruach HaKodesh.  Avraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov and all the Prophets of YHWH had ha'Mishchah.  The Priests and Levites were also called and anointed to serve YHWH and His people.  King David walked in ha'Mishchah from YHWH.  Each of these men of YHWH are also in Mashiyach, each one knows YHWH according to His Righteous Character, through Covenant and by having His Word revealed on the inside.

The ha'Mishchah that each one of us has must also be in harmony to the ha'Mishchah of these who have lived in ancient times, there is only One Kingdom of Elohim.  The ha'Mishchah of our forefathers must not be thought of as altogether different than ancient times because the Kingdom of Elohim is outside of time.  The Hellenized world has separated itself from both the ha'Mishchah and the Kingdom of Elohim by inventing religious theologies that devalue the Anointing, this has come about by changing what Y'shua taught so as to endorse modern religious ideas, here are a few examples:

"For all the prophets and the Torah prophesied until John."

Matthew 11:13

But the text says,

"For all the prophets and the Torah prophesied concerning John."

The fact of the matter is the prophets and the Torah speak the Word of YHWH which is outside of time, but modern religions invent words like dispensation and devise "replacement theology", which effectively removes the "old" and replaces it with the "new" modernized "versions."  Ha'Mishchah is being taught as a doctrine rather than a way of life.  In Psalms 119 King David reveals and explains his Mishchah (Anointing) when he says,

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy Torah."

Psalm 119:18

yet a great number of religious people don't feel Torah is relevant or applicable to their own ha'Mishchah.  The ha'Mishchah of the Ruach HaKodesh reveals the Song of Moshe as the Testimony of the Lamb, these are part of one reality within the Kingdom of Elohim.

Other religions emphasize tsedakah (acts of kindness or charity) as a replacement for ha'Mishchah.  The flesh regards it's own "works" as evidence of ha'Mishchah, certainly good works are noble and important, regardless if they are being credited to the flesh or to the ha'Mishchah, but they can become a self entity and distraction from becoming a new Creation in Mashiyach.  Good works in the flesh only brings honor to ones soul by other people, YHWH says He hates and despises the works of the flesh.  Good works themselves do not evidence ha'Mishchah of the Ruach HaKodesh, the flesh likes to be seen doing good works and some flesh even uses "the media" to trumpet good works, nevertheless it can be argued that it is better they be done in the flesh, than not done at all, but why not make tsedakah according to ha'Mishchah.

Our prayer life has much to reveal about ha'Mishchah we walk in, how much time do we spend praying in private verses in public?  In the Mishkan (tabernacle) we see the alter of incense placed in front of the veil before entering into the Kadosh Kadoshim (Holy of Holies), this illustrates that YHWH asks that our prayers come from our hearts, not our minds.  Religion says there are great benefits in saying many prayers, some traditionally repeat the same prayers each day, some are in a hurry to discharge their obligation to pray, religion says that the more prayers you make, the more that YHWH will be favorable to you.  However, David says that a "broken and a contrite heart YHWH will not despise", Ya'akov HaTsaddiq (Y'shua's blood brother) says that "the fervent prayers of a righteous man, avails much"  Y'shua Himself said, "And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.  But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and when you have shut the door, pray to your Father privately; and your Father which sees hidden things shall reward you openly.  But when you pray, don't use vain repetitions, as the hypocrites: for they think that they shall be heard for their many words.  Don't you be like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him." Matthew 6:5-8 (translated from Aramaic)

How we value our Torah fathers also determines how far we will go in our ha'Mishchah, "When Y'shua heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Avraham, and Yitzak, and Ya'acov, in the kingdom of heaven.  But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."  Matthew 8:10-12  Y'shua states "the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness", clearly it was statements like this that angered religious Jews who were only blood related to the forefather, but they rejected the Mashiyach of their forefathers, and Torah in favor of their man made religious traditions.  Yeshua spoke this to a Ger Toshav Centurion (not Jewish) who loved YHWH and His Torah and desired to also be with his fathers Avraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov.

"Then said one unto Him, Master, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.  When once the master of the house is risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Master, Master, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I don't know who are:  Then shall you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets.  But he shall say, I tell you, I don't know who you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.  There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Avraham, and Yitzak, and Ya'akov, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of Elohim, and you yourselves thrust out.  And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of Elohim.  And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last."  Luke 13:23-30

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of YHWH:  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."  Malachi 4:5   The heart of the fathers and the Prophets is Mashiyach "Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:  Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Mashiyach which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Mashiyach, and the glory that should follow.  Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the Kingdom of Elohim unto you with the Ruach HaKodesh sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into." 1 Peter 1:10

The Love we receive and experience through the Ruach is the most intimate love, ha'Mishchah makes us become as One Spirit with the Ruach HaKodesh.  YHWH created our spirit and connects His Spirit to ours, likewise each soul who is in Mashiyach is part of His Universal Kingdom.  Love and relationships become closely knit together, hearts are bound up within each other, like Israel (Jacob) and Binyamin, David and Yonathan.  Regardless of how mature or immature we are, no one of us is completely void of some form of "Spiritual Connection" with YHWH, we have a sense of right and wrong which maybe even a very small voice inside of us comes from YHWH.  Imagine the anointing of Ya'akov HaTsadiq or Yochanan or Rav Shaul (James, John or Paul).  We can read about their lives and values and how each one of them had come to personally experience a relationship with Mashiyach.

There are also many traps we must avoid, so as not to have a "theoretical" or religious relationship with HaMashiyach based on our intellect, ideas or by choice of a religion.  Being close to someone with strong personality or leadership could potentially be an obstacle to growing a personal relationship with Y'shua.  A true Shaliach (Apostle or Emissary) of Mashiyach is vigilant not to become the focus of others, but to enable others to find themselves in HaMashiyach, and to help recognize and nurture the anointing of others.  Unfortunately many leaders would rather put themselves or their teachings at the center.

"Gather the people together, men, and women, and children,

and the sojourner that is within your gates,

that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear YHWH Elohim,

and observe to do all the words of this Torah:"

Deuteronomy 31:12

None are excluded, men, women, children, and the sojourner,

even the visitors who are not part of the family are all invited:

HEAR:  Each day the Word of YHWH must be read aloud and ingested into our souls.  We hear the word so that we can live it, as we live it we apply the Word and make decisions to take action based on the Word of YHWH.  Hearing the Word not only means hearing the sound, it means our Hearts hear and apply.  We are nephesh chaya (living beings), the Targums say this is better understood as Spirits of Speech, YHWH has given us a portion of Himself.  He Spoke the Universe into existence by His Word, and we have His Word in us as we study Torah and are obedient, as we HEAR Torah our neshama (spirit) hears in our spirit, not only our minds or our ears.

A good steward hears His Master and does not waste time asking redundant questions or trying to make something easier for himself, he wants to know and understand the intent of His Master, and is obedient to the Commandment, because he trusts his Master is higher than himself.  The Master is well acquainted with all Truth and all Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding to be able to see the biggest picture.  The good steward hears the Word, immediately takes it to heart and acts upon what He has heard, he knows that he will understand more about why when the Master sees he will be able to understand.  The Hellenized carnal world wants to know everything in advance before taking action, the flesh wants instant gratification and thinks to itself that once it has knowledge, that knowledge itself brings about relationship, this is deception.  One must first Hear and Obey.

LEARN:  Each day when we apply the Word, we are learning.  Learning does not only mean that we understand, but that we DO the Truth.  The Mashiyach said, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it be of Elohim, or whether I speak of myself." John 7:17  By doing we learn, the pagans teach that one learns through the mind, but the carnal flesh is forever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  As we DO we are able to teach others, the very act of DOING causes motion and transformation in us.  There is a ripple effect in our souls when we LEARN to DO, like a rock thrown into the water, the ripples surround our action by 360 degrees, but in the spiritual world they go outward in all dimensions, the synergy of obedience helps us maintain movement towards perfection in Mashiyach.  Learning is not only about studying the books, but about becoming a new creation in Mashiyach and tuning our spirit to hear from the Ruach, we receive discernment for each new experience.

FEAR YHWH ELOHIM:  Fear means Fear, we are not to accept counterfeit ideas about the Word of YHWH, fear means fear.  Many people are uncomfortable with the FEAR OF YHWH and teach that the Scripture doesn't really mean fear, they teach that it means respect, awe and love. These say that YHWH does not want us to FEAR HIM, they teach "G-d is Love" and where there is LOVE there is no fear.  A proof text for this false theology is 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love."  However this verse is referring to the fear of man, not the fear of YHWH, there is no torment in the Fear of YHWH.  The Fear of YHWH allows a soul to Trust in YHWH and His Word, regardless of the trials we may face in this world we FEAR YHWH and not men, this allows us to have a bold witness regarding Mashiyach.  The false theology that removes the Fear of YHWH, replaces this truth with the fear of man.  Those who reject the Fear of YHWH are living carnal religious lives, according to their own idols, or they are ignorant of the Spiritual warfare against this "Spirit of YHWH".  The haMishchah of the Ruach HaKodesh will bring the Fear of YHWH into remembrance when hasatan is trying to make war against the Children of Israel.  The FEAR of YHWH, is one of the Seven Spirits of YHWH according to Isaiah 11:3, hasatan is easily defeated when one welcomes the Fear of YHWH into their neshama.

"The fear of YHWH is the beginning of wisdom:

a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:

his praise endures for ever."

Psalm 111:10

Those lacking in the FEAR of YHWH, are not lacking in the fear of man.  Why would someone not choose to FEAR the Creator YHWH Elohim?  He as the Author of Life, full of Mercy, Justice, Truth, Forgiveness, Longsuffering and Love.  We should be asking the Ruach HaKodesh to put more of the FEAR of YHWH in us every day.  The Hebrew word for Fear is Yare which means fear, afraid, terrible, terrible thing, dread, dreadful, to fear, revere, be afraid.  MORE of the FEAR of YHWH means more POWER and GRACE to walk in Him and not turn to the right or to the left.  Even if a person was unsure how to understand the Fear of YHWH, if they had a FEAR about breaking YHWH's Commandments they would be on the right path.  If they had a FEAR of being separated from YHWH and His Mashiyach, the would not go wrong, but if they had no fear of this, they would be tossed about with every wind and distraction that they come up against.

OBSERVE TO DO ALL THE WORDS OF THIS TORAHYHWH asks that we do these FOUR THINGS.  It is very straightforward, but if we choose to go our own way and NOT listen to His Word then He "will even send a curse upon you, and curse your blessings: ...because you do not lay it to heart." and "this people who know not the Torah are cursed" and "Cursed be the man that obeys not the words of this covenant" and "He that turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer shall be abomination."  There are hundreds of Scriptures that speak of the need for us to Observe Torah.  False religions have made up gods according to their own imaginations.  YHWH said through the Prophet Jeremiah, "How do you say, We are wise, and the Torah of YHWH is with us?  Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes writes falsehoods.  The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the Word of YHWH; and what wisdom is in them?"  False religions have written their own Bibles, they've fashioned a god from their carnal intellects and "Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to YHWH: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished."  In other words even if they join together and get multitudes to agree with their false theology, they're on their own.

We all have unique circumstances and challenges, at times we may feel as though we have limitations put upon us, in our relationship with YHWH and His Mashiyach.  A famous lie of the enemy, is that we will be satisfied with things that are not pleasing to YHWH, but the way to freedom is perfection in Mashiyach, the ha'Mishchah brings perfection into our souls.  Ha'Mishchah will break the lies of the enemy by the authority of the Ruach HaKodesh and the Word of YHWH.

"The words of YHWH are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."

"The fear of YHWH is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of YHWH are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  Moreover by them is your servant warned:

and in keeping of them there is great reward."

Elohim is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed,

and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,

though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

There is a river, the streams thereof shall make glad the City of Elohim,

the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

Elohim is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: Elohim shall help her, early in the morning.

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

YHWH of Hosts is with us; the Elohim of Jacob is our refuge.

Come, behold the works of YHWH, what desolations he has made in the earth.

He makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaks the bow,

and cuts the spear in sunder; he burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am Elohim: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

YHWH of Hosts is with us; the Elohim of Jacob is our refuge.

Psalm 46

YHWH be with you,

Shalom U'Vrachot,

Baruch Ben Daniel
