Ben Mordechai and Trimm

At the same time came the disciples unto Yeshua, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?  And Yeshua called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them,  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.  Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!  Matthew 18:1-7

NEWS FLASH!!!  (click here) Avi Ben Mordechai is teaching it's ok to have sex with a mistress... WRONG!!!

It doesn't appear as the "ministries" of Avi Ben Mordechai or James Scott Trimm will be producing much in the way of righteous leadership.  The Beit Din these men have spoke of (at length) is a sham, neither one qualifies to even sit on a Beit Din, never mind be Rosh Beit Din.  The sad thing is, over these last 8 years since I've known these souls, there has been little or no progression in the many things discussed regarding Yeshiva, Beit Din, Community etc.  This is a sad commentary for all who have been supporting Avi and James.  This severe lack of accountability and leadership qualification does not bode well for the Netzarim Community.  James Trimm continues to bring shame on himself and the Netzarim community for stealing and not keeping his word.  But, it's not only James who finds it impossible to work with and be accountable to others, many so called Netzarim or Messianic leaders choose to be one-man-shows.  It's sad that those who call themselves Netzarim can't work together as a community, instead they are islands unto themselves, this is NOT the Way of the true Netzarim Faith in Yeshua, it's borne out of selfishness and it's a form of idolatry to hold one's own capabilities higher than others.  I'm saddened when leaders bring offence against Mashiyach, because they don't respect others as equals, and they bring the name of Yeshua to nothing by carnal choices.  What has been happening as men such as Avi and James use Torah to support their carnal ambitions and sexual deviance rather than conform their lives to Mashiyach and Torah.  Yeshua instructed that we must not neglect the weightier matters of Torah:

Judgment   Mercy   Faith

A lot of souls are busy making a ministry out of Yeshua and Torah, rather than seek Y'shua and Torah to minister to them and others.  We must ask all "Netzarim" leaders to remember Judgment, Mercy and Faith.

Judgment because we judge ourselves first and be careful that our actions and words are acceptable to YHWH.  We are to be accountable to YHWH and to the Body of Mashiyach for how we live, something the carnal flesh resists.

Mercy because YHWH is Mercy.  Mercy yields to the needs of the Body and those afflicted and bestows kindness, warmth and hospitality to others.  Mercy extends respect and honor to each soul, elevating each souls life rather than elevate our own self importance above others.

Faith because we walk and live by Faith, we teach the "action" of Faith so we better be practising Faith.  Avi ben Mordechai and James Scott Trimm are playing games before YHWH and His Mashiyach, two individuals whom I have supported, but Faith has become an inconvenience to them, they prefer American Crapitalism and stroking their flesh.

I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of YHWH in the land of the living. Wait on YHWH: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on YHWH.

Psalms 27:13-14

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.  For YHWH loves judgment, and does not forsake His Chasid; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.  The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.  The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.  The Torah of his Elohim is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.  The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.  YHWH will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.  Wait on YHWH, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.  I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.  Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.  Mark the complete man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.  But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.  But the salvation of the righteous is of YHWH: he is their strength in the time of trouble.  And YHWH shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Psalm 37:27-40

I waited patiently for YHWH; and He inclined me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our Elohim: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in YHWH.  Blessed is that man that makes YHWH his trust, and respects not the proud, nor turns aside to lies. Psalm 40:1-4

"And YHWH direct your hearts into the love of Elohim, and into the patient waiting for Mashiyach"

2 Thessalonians 3:5

It's an important and awesome responsibility to teach others the things of Y'shua and Torah.  I would not write criticism unless I was not open to constructive criticism, but in the process of working with Avi and James, I've realized they are likely two of the biggest obstacles to the progression of the Netzarim Faith.  Their private lives show little or no accountability, but they're teaching everybody else how to observe Torah and live for Y'shua.  Both have published teaching about Netzarim Judaism and claim all sorts of Hebraic, Halakhic, Aramaic and Netzarim insights, but the one-man-show shtick is so contrary to the values of the Netzarim Faith that one must conclude it's simply a way for them to make money.

Consider how Yeshua gathered others to himself and taught and discipled.  Yeshua wasn't all over the map seeking financial support and begging for money, running a one man dog and pony show, he had no tape, CD, DVD, Radio, TV ministry he simply made disciples and his disciples made disciples.

Yeshua did not employ pagan marketing practises to advance the Kingdom.  Anyone who says, "it's different now", has bitten the apple of Hellenism and paganism, the only thing that's different is people want to protect their Crapitalism agendas.  Many souls prefer to promote their version of the "American dream" to advance "the truth", but this is hierarchical Babylon, established by Nimrod, the chief of all godless fools.

The only functional difference between the "ministries" of Trimm - Ben Mordechai and most Christian denominational religions is "theology." Avi and James preach the idea of Torah, as they look for "sponsors" of their teachings rather than disciples to Y'shua.  If a person could raise up disciples they would but in reality some leaders seek a following for financial support and to play the hero.

Following a leader will only get us as far as the leader, that's why "man" must decrease and Mashiyach must increase.  Some men have proven that they MUST walk ahead and be venerated by their followers, but Yeshua's Talmidim are called to walk as a Kedoshim, along side one another as his Talmidim and be accountable to YHWH and each other.  We are to help each other put off the old man by upholding the standards Y'shua and his Talmidim demonstrated.  Avi and James have both demonstrated a propensity to shut out those who would hold them accountable for their actions, they think they are above, like so many other pagan religious leaders.

"And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.  And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?  And he answering said unto him, Master, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shall cut it down."

March 97 I had the privilege of being banished from Kehillath Tsiyon in Vancouver BC.  A long list of false charges were levied against me by Mr. Eli Nessim and Lionel Leslie who uphold Trinity, Replacement Theology and anti-Torah doctrines.  I had previously objected to them banishing a brother (Immanuel Butkovsky) because he had disputed the "persons of the Trinity" doctrine with them.  Shortly after my objections, the leader unilaterally banished me, then he mounted a gossip campaign to vilify me so he could not be held accountable for his wickedness.

The fig tree represents a Beit Din (house of judges), those in authority who lead congregations and are responsible to teach the Kingdom of Elohim.  The fig tree must be watered, fertilized and pruned according to the Word of YHWH.  In the matter of Kehillath Tsiyon in Vancouver BC the leadership runs a fiefdom, they have no accountability to anyone who would hold them accountable to the Word, and this is much like Avi & James.

Within a matter of months of being banished from the Kehillath Tsiyon in Vancouver BC, I met Avi Ben Mordechai at a home meeting in Maple Ridge BC.  Through Avi Ben Mordechai, I met James Trimm.  Over the ensuing years I had been in contact with these two men, but over last few years I've questioned them regarding their complete lack accountability.  My hope was that these men would actually fulfill some of the visions they spoke of for true Netzarim community, but there was nothing but talk year after year and passing around the plate so they could get money for themselves.  Both these men head up one-man-show "teaching ministries", where they teach but neither are qualified to do what they talk about.  Over the last 8 years I've witnessed both bounce like yo-yo's from one focus to another, anyone who would be "mentored" by them knows about their "yo-yo effect", men do this to appear as if they're on the "cutting edge" of truth.  I began to develope a bit of a crook in the neck watching them bounce and bust over numerous issues.  I invested much time and money to support these two, if they didn't want my input, they shouldn't have accepted my support and friendship.

In those early years I recommended "teaching" by Avi Ben Mordechai and James Trimm supposing that their understanding of the Word might help build up the Household of Faith, I was wrong.  It seems their teaching has only produced cerebral huffing and puffing.  No amount of fertilizer is going to make a crop of weeds grow into a fruitful garden, unless we plant righteous seeds we are not going to harvest righteous fruit.  There are no shortcuts, no perfect doctrines, no perfect translations of the Scriptures that will bring about righteous character according to Mashiyach Yeshua.  There are no men who are so holy and mighty in truth within themselves, or so super-spiritual that they can build a righteous community on their own perfected "theologies".  We either stand or fall based on our community together and our accountability to Y'shua and one another.  Even if some wealthy benefactor were to take up the cause of Netzarim Judaism and pump a billion or two dollars into "sales and marketing", this would not produce righteousness of character or discipleship!  How?  The Kingdom of Elohim does not need finances to advance, it simply requires righteous disciples.  I hope I've not caused anyone to stumble by recommending Avi and James.  My hope was to work together to build Netzarim community and be part of that community, that was my hope, that was why I supported them and that is why I write this paper.

My own failings are also exposed, my belief in their visions was fueled by my own desire for community and fellowship together with others who put faith in Mashiyach and who honor Torah.  But there are no shortcuts, Torah qualifications are paramount in the selection of leaders and in the working together within the Body of Mashiyach.  Avi and James blow out much hot air, but neither qualifies for a seat on a Beit Din, neither should a man be allowed to teach or have authority over the lives of others if they themselves refuse to uphold basic Torah principles.

I hope and pray that offences and misrepresentations made will be reconciled.  I pray that we will not leave unresolved trespasses in our lives.  If we have a mustard seed of Faith and only one grain of love for the Brethren, we will seek to resolve conflicts and transgressions.  When I make an offence to the Name of YHWH I hope to be be held accountable by my peers and seek reconciliation of all things in Mashiyach Y'shua.  Let YHWH be true and every man a liar, and may His Name be exalted in our words and our actions and for His Name's sake let our words and actions in Him be preferred over our own desires.

YHWH be with you,

Shalom U'Vrachot,

Baruch Ben Daniel
