Anointing
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It's difficult when we are rejected for being who we are, especially when it's by those we love. We use various words to describe the pain of trampled hearts, emptiness, loneliness, sadness, and disappointment, we've all experienced frustration and sometimes anger caused by the insensitivities or cruelty towards our person. So it's difficult to understand how the world can't see the importance of common good caring for each and every soul, so that each of us can experience Justice, Mercy and Faith, and have mutual respect and love for one another.
The truth is that we cannot give what we don't have to give. There is no guarantee that all of us will experience the love of a father or a mother in this world, the world is in a time when love has grown cold, generations of lovelessness have brought meaninglessness and hopeless to many souls... without a higher purpose people tend to focus on materialism and instant gratification.
The gurus, pastors and rabbis all have a solution for the world, all will ching-ching your bank account for a bit of their wisdom. Or take a tenth of your income each month to "love you", call you "friend" and be your mentor, father figure, rabbi or pastor. But there is a big price to pay, it's "religious obligation" to be accepted into "the beloved" religious circles. Religious folk will be your friend as long as your ideas don't conflict with their religious ideas, if and when you use your own head... you've "fallen from Grace". Love my friend, when its religious style love... really sucks.
On the other hand there is an exchange of greatness and love and well being and wholeness that awaits each and of us that is given to us via an "anointing", this of course means to have the ability to communicate in our Spirit with the Master of the Universe. Religion tries to own the communication channels between you and Heaven, most people have submitted their sovereignty and relationship with Mashiyach over to a religious hierarchy of their choice. Even ancient Israelites did it, they told Moshe... you speak to YHWH for us because we're afraid of Him. Let's be frank. The lower nature of man tells himself, don't make me do anything too hard and against my own will, let me do what is right in my own eyes.
Y'shua said,
Rather impossible are the words, "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" this isn't something that seems to come naturally to mankind. And for some reading this I'm sure they are already getting agitated that I haven't laid out the religious "Anointing" stuff that they've used all their lives as their religious cliché about what an anointing is. I say this because from time to time I get put to the test by Christians who demand... "HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!" or the say "DO YOU SPEAK IN TONGUES!!!" and these things to some are the evidence that a person has received an "anointing" of the Holy Spirit.
The last time that happened it was a professor from a Christian university in Jerusalem who was eager to know if I would stroke his religious anointing Charismatic idol, so knowing that time was short, his demands and impatience with me so very apparent I replied. Well sir, that seems to be a bit of an oversimplification of how the Spirit of YHWH works. That was it, one short sentence and the man wagged his head and went off in a big huff... I had failed his test.
The real answer comes from Mashiyach Y'shua himself when he said;
Who chose you and I? If we have taken His yoke upon us then Mashiyach says it is He who chose us, and ordained us to go and bring forth fruit in his Name. He chose us and ordained us which means we walk as He walked or we've subjectively interpreted His Words to endorse our own values and ideas. But it seems as this is what many have preferred, none walk as Mashiyach walked. Many are afraid to speak and act according to Mashiyach because of the ridicule and resentment from those who hate the Way of Righteousness, so what people do is walk a religious walk and hang with others who accept their religiosity. They play religious games and call that an "anointing".
As the world turns away from righteousness it becomes more fashionable to persecute those who hold to a standard of righteousness and the common good. Rather than have an experience with YHWH and His Mashiyach and delight in His Word, folks are looking for a religious fan club, a religious society that affirms their common "spirituality" which one might call a group of folks with "familiar spirits", in other words agreement according to religion rather than righteousness.
We've all learned or witnessed false love, being accepted on the basis of traditional religious understandings rather than according to the standard YHWH and His Mashiyach teach according to His Torah. As long as we walk and talk in a way that certain others like to hear, we receive acceptance, be we quickly "fall from grace" when we speak of the Name of YHWH or observe Torah and the things of HaMashiyach. Laying down one's life for friends means to bear the infamy of the Truth and to live according to Mashiyach and His Torah. If you are doing this with joy and gratitude then you know that you have also passed from death (rebellion) to life (surrender) in Mashiyach.
You don't need someone to measure your spirituality or anointing and compare it to theirs. You don't need the approval of someone or a lesson on how to speak in tongues so you will fit into the tongue speaking club. I was recently invited to speak at Charismatic church where the pastor had been living and teaching the Holy Ghost revival for 30 years and what he confessed to me was shocking. The man saw 30 years of witch crafters and Jezebels coming and going from his church all in the name of "The Lord". The "Lord" told many pew warmers how to control and manipulate the lives of others, how to give evil counsel to themselves and family and friends, how to turn friends into enemies how to lie, kill and steal and destroy. That's what "the Lord" can do for you if you want to learn from "the Lord".
Obviously the Devil himself transforms himself into an angel of "the Lord" and many Christian folk swallow the bait, hook, line and sinker. So let us look and see what YHWH and His Mashiyach teach us about having an "anointing" shall we?
Mashiyach calls us to take his YOKE upon us, that means we diverge from our own understanding and religions and "worldly living" and we raise up the Banner of YHWH and His Mashiyach. We distinguish between right and wrong even though we'll walk away from churches and synagogues with our backs full of knives as people whisper and mock the Way we've chosen to live.
A brother in Yeshua brought much joy to my soul, I received an email from him asking if I would put up a notice on his website to let visitors know that he did not want them to purchase his materials on Shabbat, it's a simple thing, he wants others to understand the beauty of Shabbat rest we have in Mashiyach. Can you forget about your money on Shabbat? Can you forget about the cares of this world? What matters more in this life than the love of the Father and being able to take some time and be in Him on Shabbat? Interestingly enough there is a whole world of religious people who claim to have an anointing, but they have no rest for their souls, they can't stop their religiosity for long enough to enter into Mashiyach.
Yeshua says, "Take My Yoke upon you, and learn of me" this is a yoke of being in him, and we can be sure that as we take his Yoke upon us we will see our own flaws and our own "humanity" much more clearer, this is a wonderful asset because it helps us to not look at or dwell on the flaws of ourselves or others. The reality is that if we truly take his Yoke upon us then we will have his compassion on ourselves and upon those who would be quick to knife us in the back because of our differences. It's not a matter of live and let live and it never has been, its a matter of dying and surrendering our lives so that we may take up a new life in our Father.
We don't have any love of our own to give. Some years back while I was researching for a book about Love, I interviewed some of the most successful and spiritually wise couples I could. I asked each one to define love, guess what happened? I asked just under a hundred people and got more than a hundred different definitions of love, each one had magnificent life long experiences with Love. I heard the most heart warming stories about love, it was a wonderful experience, but if I asked you to define love, I'm sure you would also have a unique and amazing answer.
The point is that love, which holds the very essence of life together, is one of the most difficult things for us to define. Without love the world would die, people would be fearful and kill each other! Love ensures our continued existence on this planet and our future in the Word to Come, but we struggle for a universal definition. If you don't already know what I am talking about, I challenge you to ask a few people to define love. We have to borrow love, we even have to borrow a definition for love because mankind doesn't have one.
When all else fails some say, "G-d is Love", that's when I have to laugh, I believe they're right, but it truly shows the state of man, doesn't it? Some people say, "He put this love in my heart!" Because we really don't know where else it might have come from. Besides, we know ourselves all too well, we know that love is bigger than we are there are times when we really don't want to love or do what we know is the right thing but we have to, we're compelled... it's almost a "spiritual thing".
From time to time we fail, but Love never fails... how can it? Just knowing this tells us that the road to love is in Mashiyach and of course, Love is protected by Torah. Not only is Love protected by Torah but love is the foundation of Torah. When we understand love according to Justice, Mercy and Faithfulness, and wisdom and understanding and the Spirit of YHWH then we understand the Kingdom of Heaven is built upon the Word of YHWH which has been revealed to us in what is called TORAH (instructions in righteousness).
Here's one writers definition of LOVE:
Love is My Free Choice to Suffer for Righteousness
Love is the culmination of everything that Torah describes as Righteous, an evil person experiences love, because the Spirit of Mashiyach touches everyone, but the wicked do not walk in love because they ultimately hate righteousness. Righteousness is not ours any more than Love is ours, its not something we inherently own from our parents, we borrow righteousness from Mashiyach by experiencing him and walking according to His Way. Mashiyach is revealed to us as YHWH Tsidkenu, YHWH our Righteousness. Is it possible for someone to go through life and know or experience nothing about love, sure it is, it happens all the time. Imagine going to a church all your life and then discovering that there are many things that don't reflect the Spirit of Mashiyach, so you say something, so they kick you out. Do you wait by the phone hoping that someone will call you? No, of course not because you've already been condemned to hell, they don't care about you and the truth is... they never did. All the Church people cared about was that you were in religious agreement with them whilst you attended their meetings. Am I wrong? Tell me?
I've been ministering Torah and Mashiyach for nearly 30 years now and my specialty is the outcasts of Israel, those who have been rejected by religion because they have taken up Mashiyach. Religious love is probably the most evil thing on the face of the planet, think about it. A young boy or girl is rejected by their family, they hit rock bottom, a ministry picks them up off the the street, they start going to church and make the unpardonable sin of doing what the Bible says. In no time they are reprimanded and then kicked out because they don't fit in. That's religious love.
Love demands an action, that's where "suffering" enters, love must be applied. Love is defined in truth, kindness, compassion, intimacy, peace, justice etc. Our hearts yearn for Love, the Spiritual Man yearns for true intimacy with YHWH, our Neshama (spirit) must connect to the Spirit of YHWH to be satisfied and nurtured. Mashiyach helps us to take this quantum leap. Mashiyach enables us to meet "The Father". By studying the Life of Mashiyach and responding to Him, we are able to enter into an intimate relationship with YHWH. We are created in the Image of Elohim therefore He reveals Himself in us. The Mashiyach lightens our loads. He knows exactly how our souls need to be loved and nurtured. When empty words, broken promises, or cruelty from others has left us barren or hurting, there is One Absolute Lover of our Souls who cannot deny Himself. He is the Just One, The Perfect Lamb, Mashiyach Y'shua.
Oftentimes I meet people who come into the Netzari Faith (the original teachings and lifestyle of Y'shua and Paul) and they are heartbroken that it took them so long to find the Way. They beat themselves up, why, why, why. They had Bibles right under their noses most of their lives but didn't actually believe what they read enough to act upon it. But when they begin observing Torah, delighting in YHWH's Name and asking Him to write Torah upon their hearts they experience a level of wholeness that overwhelms their lives with purpose and gratitude. Can you say bye, bye to false religion?
Apart from all the "posturing" of various religions, there are a few questions that really beg the "Mashiyach" question. If our hearts cannot make the connection with Love and through Righteousness then we need to take a cold, hard look at the facts that will almost seemingly slap us in the face. Check this out.
Who can make an end of sins? Who can make reconciliation for iniquity? Who can bring in everlasting righteousness? M A S H I Y A C H The Mashiyach personifies YHWH and Torah.
The most Holy is Mashiyach. The temple was in chaos and disarray, YHWH allowed the temple in Jerusalem to be completely destroyed. The party was over, the Temple could no longer be used as a business opportunity for the corrupt religious ruling classes. By the way, you probably never knew that the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem is privately owned? The owners rake in millions of dollars every month in real estate revenues... some things never change.
Messiah shall be cut off? Yes and Mashiyach was cut off wasn't he? but not for himself. The Prophets clearly tell of Mashiyach Ben Yoseph, the Messiah Y'shua, who came to suffer for His people being cut off, which means they killed him.
The Temple and Beautiful and Holy City Jerusalem was destroyed, and the sacrifices were discontinued when Titus came against Jerusalem in 70 AD. The motive was clear, "for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate." This is PRECISELY, as history records! The Temple according to Mashiyach Himself had become a "den of thieves". The thieves who ran the temple are the same today who speak against Y'shua as Mashiyach, they rob the people by making void the Torah by their traditions. Orthodox traditions says Y'shua is not the Mashiyach, why? The institution of Orthodox Judaism is a religion of men, as all religion is. When man deceives himself to think he owns the rights to G-d then we also begin to believe that we own things like Justice, Righteousness, Truth and Love and we fall off the path leading to HaMashiyach.
Many leaders have taken the authority upon themselves, by tradition, to discredit Mashiyach and his followers because Mashiyach's words and actions weighed all religion and find them wanting. The Prushim (Pharisees) of ancient times evolved into the modern "Orthodoxy" that we see today, Mashiyach found not all but some of this religion to be cruel and wanting of righteousness. Yes, the same could also be said of all other religions, Christianity and all other Religions incorporate tradition as a higher calling than Mashiyach and His Torah. However, YHWH is not mocked, let Elohim be true and every man a liar. The Word of YHWH will endure forever and His Torah (Word) is from everlasting. To make light of Torah and speak against Ha Mashiyach is to find oneself in defiance of Truth and warring against the Name of YHWH, YHWH said that "vengeance belongs to Him", and we are also told that it is a "fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living Elohim", but many don't have the "Fear of YHWH".
Where might one think to find an anointing from YHWH in all of this religious balagan and stuyot? It will never happen, the fact of the matter is that rabbinical Judaism and Christianity are designed so that you will never find Mashiyach, only religious man made substitutions.
When Mashiyach Ben David appears he will establish His Universal Government. YHWH did not tolerate what was going on in the Temple in Jerusalem, it had to be terminated, he brought the Roman armies in to smash it down. Mashiyach Ben David is bringing authority and power that this world has never seen and can't begin to imagine, to smash down religion.
Unlike Mashiyach Ben Yoseph who established Himself as the Servant King, Mashiyach Ben David will come with both Spiritual and Natural forces like the world has never witnessed, the Prophets spoke in detail about his Return. The Universe will shake from the inside, man will see the realities of his own existence and what is truly in his soul, the conscience, motive, will and spirit of each one will be revealed, man will be naked as Adam and Eve after original sin. Our covering in the Day of YHWH will be Mashiyach and His Righteousness or we will be naked and exposed. Mashiyach earnestly compelled His people to be prepared for that Day of His return, but religious folks simply take that warning and turn it into more religion.
Why are there prophecies about a Suffering Mashiyach, and why is this necessary? Because Love was Perfected for all of us in the Sufferings of Mashiyach.
What is the reason that some people refused to recognize Y'shua as the Mashiyach? Religion is the great distraction of entering into a relationship with YHWH and His Mashiyach, people are afraid of what is really inside of themselves and don't want others to know who they really are, religion is the easy and popular cover-up. Religion is Hollywood where people act like someone they are not to become accepted into a peer group. Yochanan wrote, "For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."
Why did Yoseph's brothers in Egypt not recognize him? He looked like an Egyptian in an Egyptian setting, Yeshua has been made to look like a pagan and a Gentile in a Gentile setting, His own People can't recognize Him. "Jesus Christ" is an image of man's theologies, the opposite values of the image of YHWH and His Word.
Why is it so difficult for people today to observe the Words of Mashiyach, and Torah? "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YHWH has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." We are tribal social beings who want to be loved and appreciated, even if it costs us not being true to ourselves and what our spiritual consciousness tells us about our calling in Mashiyach. We all have a propensity to do what is right in our own eyes, and when a person walks in Truth they are quickly persecuted by those who feel judged or condemned by the actions of one righteous soul. Ever heard yourself or others say the "holier than thou" cliché or the "so heavenly minded that he's no earthly good" cliché. Religious people live under "the fear" of the cliché being used against them, or the "legalist" cliché, or the "Judaiser" cliché or the "anointing" cliché.
Why does the world have to suffer so much, if Mashiyach has already come? Tell me why did Israel suffer when Moshe was their leader? We each have the free choice to do what is right or not. Suffering often comes about in our lives by willful ignorance and premeditated rebellion and generational curses that have come through violating Torah. Noah's flood and Sodom and Gomorrah are a couple examples, the same things are happening today in your local Churches. Wealthy countries have built their wealth on slavery, murder, bribery, stealing resources from poor countries, lies, manipulation, greed etc, the wealthy nations have no Justice and they offer no Justice. Nations where thousands of children die each day have abandoned YHWH and Torah, their leadership is short sighted and self serving, they have plenty resources and abilities but refuse to seek the common good of people. We suffer greatly when we choose to rebel against The Word of YHWH that is revealed in Mashiyach.
Why are we on earth? What is the focal point of human existence? Mashiyach. We are here to be made in the Image of Elohim and populate the world with Mashiyach. Mashiyach is looking for volunteers and co-laborers, not slaves. He calls us "friends" because we live within his mission and his mandate because he lives inside of us.
If Yeshua is HaMashiyach, how will this change my life? That's for you to experience, let me know how it's going.
YHWH be with you,
Shalom U'Vrachot,
Baruch Ben Daniel
My prayers are with you.
